Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP)

   Today’s competitive environment requires organizations to develop leaders who bring a wide variety of professional and personal experience to the table. ASAE’s answer to that challenge is the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP).

   DELP supports individuals from under-represented identity groups to advance into the ranks of leadership in the association management profession. DELP scholars participate in an all access leadership program of education, mentoring, coaching, and networking in the association community.

   In 2021 ASAE committed to redesigning DELP to better align this long-standing program with ASAE’s new strategic plan and program of work. We took a step back to listen to the DELP community, and in our research we found that the program has such a strong foundation and great impact for the DELP Alumni and Scholars. 

   Scholars and Alumni want to be connected to their community, connected in the association space, grow in their fields and positions, learn in their space, and give back to the industry. With the help of the DELP community and volunteer DELP Advisory Task Force we have formulated a new and improved benefits package for the future scholars to achieve success.

   The DELP Refresh is committed to the career advancement of program scholars. We seek to help associations develop motivated leaders to fuel organization success and enhance the effectiveness of the wider association community.
